The OSO Intro was a collaborative effort by a multitude of animators working for Open Source Objects, who of which each drew 1 frame of Crayon Box, which was then organized by Satomi. After this part, the characters are interested, which were also drawn by hundreds of artists. The final part of the intro features the characters seemingly racing, which was animated by a multitude of animators.
Composition[]
Rotating Crayon Box[]
The intro begins with an animation of Crayon Box rotating and descending to the middle of the frame. Each of the 144 frames was drawn by one of the drawers in the table below.
Textured Background[]
In the background of the spinning crayon box, there is a textured background that was made in an aggie.io directed by Satomi. While Satomi set up the aggie, there were many more people drawing on the aggie. Since this isn't credited, we don't know who worked on it, but people were given the option to sign their name in the corner which only a few people did. Papiomike, Urie, Wolfolotl, Satomi, cosmiicat, Lpcarver, and APotato/HriHof are the only names found on the final image. The texture can also be seen being used on the ground later in the intro.
On the image itself, there are many little drawings. Below is a list of most of them.
